Computer Network & Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with staff at all levels to resolve escalated issues and meet project deadlines.
• Research and monitor servers to ensure optimal network performance within ContentKeeper datacentres.
• Conduct quality improvement testing and related activities.
• Maintain procedures and document the diagnosis and resolution of network faults, as well as network enhancements and modifications.
• Remotely manage servers and workstations, including third-party applications.
• Apply specialized skills to troubleshoot network issues.
• Manage and maintain passwords for users, servers, and workstations.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, and administer new and upgraded network equipment, virtual machines, servers, and workstations.
• Analyze client network traffic, capacity, and usage to ensure network integrity and optimal performance.
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
• Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
