Role Purpose

Ativion is hiring qualified, driven, systems/network technicians to support company growth.  The ideal candidate has workstation, systems, and network experience in enterprise networks.  

Role Responsibilities

•    Provide second line product support via phone and email
•    Troubleshoot product and customer environment related issues
•    Provide customer product training
•    Proactively communicate the status of open cases including required information, progress updates, and steps for resolution
•    Maintain clear helpdesk ticket notes and summaries 
•    Continually improve the quality of customer support and services 
•    Manage phone and ticket queues
•    Respond to system alerts.

Required skills.experience/qualifications

Technical Skills Required
•    Functional understanding of LDAP, Active Directory, e-Directory, DNS and Group Policy
•    Functional understanding of Windows, Macintosh, iOS, Android, and Chromebook devices
•    Basic understanding of Internet security
•    Basic understanding of networking


Personal Skills Required
•    Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and co-workers
•    Exceptional personal, phone, and email etiquette 
•    Excellent written communication skills
•    Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
•    Ability to self-start and self-manage issues and cases


Preferred Experience
•    Experience with web filtering
•    Google G-Suite
•    Mobile Device Management (MDM) Systems
•    Basic understanding of Layer 3 routing
•    Basic understanding of Linux command line
•    Firewall experience

 

This is a full-time, permanent role and will be based at our Canberra office.
